The father of action painting, JACKSON POLLOCK, claimed that every era
has its technique. The technique employed by nature to create natural stones
belongs to very distant epochs and is lost in the millennia-long action of time
upon matter. Instead, it is up to humans and their sensibility to bring forth this
incessant artistic work in all its expressive power. It is, in fact, through careful
and conscious craftsmanship that marble veining emerges from the stone,
where crystalline minerals within the sedimentary rock create dynamic con-
trasting colour patterns, as if distributed by the hand of an artist.
