Entrepreneurs belonging to our family share a common feature: the ability to look over the hedge. I am borrowing this metaphor from Leopardi at the height of a historical moment that is truly testing our collective planning skills: this period has physically slowed down work sites, caused the closure of borders and put many sectors in standby, including our own. We have chosen to invest during this moment, because complex and challenging times such as the current one require the ability to think even bigger. We must have the
courage to move towards the future, one step at a time, alongside those who have been working with us since the beginning. We have built a new production department with numerical control machinery and introduced the use of increasingly exclusive materials. We have strived to make our products, artisanship and materials known to architects and designers. We have invested on artistic and communications-based projects, in order to surround ourselves with a system of inspirations, collaborations and synergies. The magazine you are reading is the result of this vision: an instrument designed to inspire you to create something unprecedented by our side. In this first issue, we are proud to introduce you to quartzite, the feather in the cap of our collection, which we extract from the best-suited areas of Brazil.
